Changing from HOB to canister.

Hi all. Today as it is very wet and I dont wna go out. I may decide to rescape my 60L.

I have aquired a canister filter as I believe my HOB was not sufficient.

I am really unsure on where to start regarding switching them over, how do I go about it without having the fish in temporary accomodation for too long?

Any help very welcome as I have only ever set a tank up weeks before getting any livestock.

Hi, I'd run them both at the same time. The HOB can continue to filter the tank while the canister filter is maturing. I'd also dose the canister with filter start bacteria balls or liquid. Regularly test the water while your doing this and do regular water changes, maybe every couple of days.
