Hi all
I have recently noticed this appear on my plants I have been removing by hand but seen to be loosing a battle with it also don’t want it to spread any more in the tank I have taken two photos of it from above and from inside of the tank. Any help and advice would be much appreciated 🙂

I have read that staghorn alge can be treaded with easy life easy carbo. I am currently running co2 in my aquarium that comes on at 4am-9pm. I do a maintenance on the tank every Sunday doing a 25% water change also adding tap safe. I also have a biomaster 600 and only clean out the sponge part not the compartment with the other filter parts that’s on a monthly basis I do that. My co2 count is lime green also bubble count is 10 a minute

I have managed to pull quiet a lot out would it be wise to grab a 1ltr bottle of easy carbo ? And to start treatment or just keep picking it out of the tank ? 🙂

The only thing it’s saying is add tap safe which I have done ✅

I would say increase your water change quantity and clean the pre filter on your filter every week. The pre filter blocks quickly reducing the flow and clogging with waste organics. I find you can cure most algae issues without resorting to chemicals. If you don't fix the reason for the algae it will just come back.

Is your bubble count really 10 per minute or is that a typo?

The echinodoras at the back looks like it's showing some signs of deficiency. They are heavy root feeders so rot tabs work well with them but their older leaves can suffer from algae and algae loves weakened plants.

I have now started feeding the plants with tropica plant food and also added some root tabs in the aquarium
