Can anyone help me Identify this plant please

Hi I bought what I thought was Dwarf Sagittaria subulata online

Now I thinking is this vallisneria? as it seems very tall

can you get tall sagittaria?

I don’t know how to tell the difference

Doesn't look like Subulata....its more compact looking as picture!

Yeah I thought the same also when its in the tank it doesn’t arch over like in that picture

😉This is the "problem" with Sag. sub. - it really can't be trusted........
Sometimes it will stay dwarf at about 5 cm. and other times it will grow to 50+ cm.
I have had both hights - sometimes the same group of plants changing - and I still can't tell, why they sometimes change.
Vall. and Sag. are not easy to differentiate from a pic. so you actually might have Sag. sub. The leaves of Sag. sub usually is more "texturuos" and usually more bending, even in the longest leaves, that is correct.....but some Vall. can actually behave this way, too, given right (or wrong?) conditions.
At some point they will probaply grow long stems with flowers - this will easily tell the true ID, since flowers are very different in Vall. and Sag.

Looks exactly like dwarf sagittaria I had in my tank in the past. It was in my 30cm tall tank and grew all the way to the surface and taller. I always assumed that's how it was supposed to be.

You can differentiate Val. from Sag. and other plants with ribbon like leaves because Val. has a very wide midvein.

Vals for me grow much taller,, faster than they grow bushier such as photo depicts.
Me thinks sagittaria, or chain sword.
