When increasing the GH (kH), should I increase the micro or macro dose? I work with soft water a lot and use microdoses there (not the residual index). But when the water has a high GH level, such as 6, should I add both micro and macro doses more? Or can I keep them at the same level? I am particularly interested in nitrates and phosphates.

Macro nutrients levels in higher GH or KH don't need to be changed. Micro nutrients do. Watch your plants, they may need more trace elements in higher GH and KH water. Loss of green and whitish or pale leaves can indicate insufficient micro element levels.

What about Potassium and his relationship with Calcium?

Nutrients and element ratios are important, but those published charts are not always what works the best in real aquarium setups.

It seems, higher potassium or higher calcium does not cause as many problems as high alkalinity, in terms of most aquatic plants.
