C. petchii pink - normal or deficient?

I've been growing Cryptocoryne beckettii petchii "pink" for 6 months now and it has this unusual (but nice looking) pattern of dark green in the middle and pale green on the edges. I'm starting to wonder whether it is supposed to look like this, or whether it's some kind of nutrient deficiency. Nutrient deficiency seems unlikely since I'm using EI dosing (leftover APFUK material) with injected CO2 and other plants like Alternanthera reineckii ‘Mini’ and Bacopa caroliniana look ok to me. Does anyone have experience with petchii pink that can provide some perspectives?
