I'm in the process of setting up a new discus tank. I will be using a sand only substrate, no co2 and won't be dosing anything. The types of plants I am looking for are to grow on bogwood only, I won't be planting in the substrate in this tank (substrate will be less than 1"). As it's a discus tank the temp will be 30C. TDS in my area is just over 200 and ph about 7.8 to 8.
Can anyone recommend from experience plants that will thrive in this environment?

Haha! I know I've described planted aquarium hell but I'm confident it can be done.

Don't get me wrong! I didn't say it couldn't... I just think that it's hard to do and requires a lot of patience. According to some literature, fish food and fish waste should provide everything plants need.
