Hi All,

My current chihiros RGB light is starting to reach the end of its life as 3 LEDs have gone. I really like the look of RGB lights but there aren't a huge amount of budget options.
I'm trying to keep to sub £100.
The tank is 60cm and I'm running CO² but at a low rate (not 30ppm) so don't need the light to be blindingly bright.
I've been thinking of trying RGB floodlights but also like the simplicity of an off the shelf option.

twinstar 60b? never had any experience with the brand, but on paper it seems to be good. I'd recommend you hang it though.

Not sure if there are any "budget" strictly rgb.
You may find some cheap channel controlled lights.
Some finnex have 4 channel control.
Trick of any of these is if you don' t need the whites. Having r:g:b:w 1:1:1:1 helps.
Amazon product ASIN B07SBL28J3

That one, oddly, has 3 channels, red, blue, and green/ white.

Thank @plantnoobdude and @oreo57 for your suggestions. I've not come across those and had discounted brands like twinstar as being over budget without really looking.
i can also recommend the jcand P. I used it in conjunction with a nicrew LED in the past. right now it lights my low tech vase. it is pretty bright and I have green water lol.

I've been looking for those JC and P lights oreo57 linked to. They look really good. Did you get yours from Etsy? I've not been able to find them anywhere else and I've not used Etsy before.

That looks 2 channel g/w and r/b..
I think it's the newer generation that has 3 channels.
bentley pascoe mentions his setting for the "green white" and "red blue" channels.

4:42
also looks pretty much identical

Thanks @oreo57 I'll take a look at that.

I've been looking at this light. It looks like a hygger copy or rebranded hygger.

Alternatively I'm thinking of making a reflective shade and going for a couple of floodlights. Might add a small fan to dissipate any heat trapped by the shade.
