Brown mold on driftwood

2nd day of my new planted tank and i discovered brown fuzz on my drift woods. Is this normal?

Yep. Should disappear soon enough. I had some on the wood in my new setup after a few days. Scrubbed off with an old toothbrush, water change etc and hasn't come back. Snails etc will eat it too. Loads of algae now though!

Here's one of my nerites with a scarf, slogging through it in the first few weeks of my scape. I had this gross white jelly like mold for a while but it goes eventually.
