Hi, just wondering if anyone could help! I'm getting a replacement vision 450 on Thursday this week under warranty, so thought I'd go for a completely new set up when it arrives. So therefore I purchased a very large tree base with roots which will go on it's side.I did think from measurements I'd taken it would fit How ever due to the placement of the braces, I can't get it in with out possibly cutting away one. If I do this then silicone it back, would it affect the structure of the tank in anyway? I've seen online people removing them and replacing with glass but didn't fancy doing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😵

Regards

Alastair

Hi foxfish. No the braces are plastic. And to be honest I wish I could change them completely as in my current one they cast shadows over the plants etc. I was thinking of going down the root of cutting it, it's just the sheer thickness of it too, I'd be worried id not be able to glue it back together right. It's going to be a tight ish squeeze as it is..

Hi remember if you modify the tank in any way it consiquently fails, and water damage is caused. No come back on the manufacturer and no pay out from the insurance, and thats a lot of water. As Foxfish says cut the wood not the tank, could end up being expensive, just some friendly advice Kind regards Colin.
