Greetings from Canada! Hope everyone is well. I bought some Blyxa Japonica from a fellow aquarist and planted it in my 60P scape, Tropica Aquasoil, CO2 injection and it is doing quite well and growing pretty tall. I've read a bunch of threads describing trimming this stem plant by up-rooting and cutting from the bottom. Not quite sure what this means? Can some explain in detail how to get the height reduced of this plant. Why wouldn't trimming the tops (like hairgrass) work, where one can shape the plant into the desired look? Thanks for any advice/suggestions!
