Black Paradise Fish Macropodus spechti Tank Mates?

I recently stumbled across this fish and from what I have read its a bit more mellow compared to the common Paradise fish. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this fish and could tell me what might be fitting tank mates. Would a Paradise fish eat shrimp?

No not yet, haven't got that far. I'll probably reach out to LBJ aquatics since she is heavily into Bettas.

I don't think LJB deal in these,I've certainly never seen them for sale on her FB page.
Someone on ebay is selling them and I've certainly seen them on occasion in my local MA.

Well I thought she might be able to request them from her supplier. Any way cheers for the link, what a beautiful picture and I'm surprised how cheap its being sold for.
