Hello, During todays WC I discovered some tiny Black Neons (probably saw 4 or 5 tiny ones between 4-6 mm. ) in my shrimp tank. There is no way these could have been introduced by other means than by my adult Black Neon tetras (the stork is definitely another possibility):
I know getting Black Neon Tetras or Tetras in general to spawn is not too difficult, but getting the eggs to hatch and raising the fry is difficult. These little guys did it all by themselves against all odds.
Sorry about the tiny picture. This one is no bigger than 5-6 mm.
dGH 4.5, dKH 0.5, pH ~6, TDS ~85 ppm / 170 uS/cm. Temperature 22-23 C. Botanicals. Very densely planted (which is probably why these babies could survive to this stage).
Cheers,
Michael
