Hi everyone, struggling with co2 at moment as my drop checker is so light its hard to tell the colour, never goes dark and green is see through so hard to tell colour properly.

I usually use co2 art in a tiny bottle but is there a good brand of solution you recommend and a bit bigger one that will last.

Thanks dean

It actually doesn't matter that much. :) Theoretically, it's said the drop checker solution should be 4dKh then if this turn lime green we are at 30ppm CO².
This is a somewhat standardized consensus in the aquarium hobby...

But it could be anything and you still are able to use its colour to determine what CO² value it reflexes. :)

Top row from left to right is the kH value of the solution in the drop checker. Suppose your tap water is 6 dKh you could still use this and let it colour a tad darker green than lime green...

It really depends on how good you are in comparing colours. Supposing you interpret the 4dKh colour wrongly or slightly different than your neighbour. Then what or who is correct?
