Background plants

Ok guys so I'm planting my first tank it's Medium tech, med/high lights but not no Co2 (will introduce it later if needed)

So the tank is quite big 5x2x2 and Im looking for plants for the backgound that are going to be tall and dense and bushy, any suggestions please? They are being planted in mineralised soil 1.5" topped with 1" Akadama (double line).

Any advice much appreciated. :?:

It depends what look you're after I guess. And also what decor you plan on. Are you having large pieces of wood? Is so these can hold some giant anubias which I've became a bit obsessed with 🙂
Onion plants are really cool, and they have such a strong presence. The bulb can be a feature too and if the bulb gets light on it, the growth is very impressive!
Don't know what else to suggest but I've tried Vallis and really didnt like it as it seems to take ages to become established. And also everyone has vallis at the back!
Great fun deciding though huh 🙂
