Hi all,

I'm interested in trying some Staurogyne repens attached to some slate - have a couple or three questions I'd appreciate any help with:
  1. Any tips on growing it attached rather than planted? I've been lurking for a bit and discovered the wonders of superglue, so a massive thanks to all who've mentioned that, far preferable to swearing at some innocent cotton.
  2. Will it grow okay in a non CO2 injected tank? (I've recently started dosing Easycarbo, but currently have no plans to move beyond that)
  3. Will a Tropica pot of this give me a number of stems that can be attached in different places, or do I need to think about getting one pot per attachment point?

Cheers

Hi.

1) I have only ever grown this planted, didnt even know it could be attached to decor.
2) Should be okay with Easycarbo, weekly ferts will be appreciated as well.
3) Probably, four or five stems per pot, Staurogyne roots really quickly so each stem can be easily be cut in to a few 1/2" sections that can be planted.

Wow, thats news to me, I had kept it but never thought of attaching it to any of my decor, so I take it you just tie it on to stone/wood as you would with Anubias, and the roots eventually take hold?

Cheers for the responses - looks great in that picture Luis.
shrimprodeo - I found out about the possibility of growing it attached from this page on the tropica site.

Thanks for the link, that quite handy, lots of plants that can be grown attached to decor that I hadnt really thought about.
