Arcadia OT2 luminaire 4x80w T5's

Hi,
I was looking at this Luminaire for a 570L tank im setting up (5ftx2x2).
I reckon this should be enough light?
Does anybody have any feedbck on these Luminaires? They look nice but are pricey!

That's plenty of light. I'd start with running 2 lamps only.

The OT2 units are very good. Just be careful with the plastic fittings as they are quite brittle.

Thanks George....I assume you would start with 2 lamps to prevent algae......how long would you this for?
I was thinking of only having all four on for 2hrs or so a day and then two lamps at start and end of lighting cycle.
Would this be a good idea? Anybody?

The best idea is to use as little light as possible not to use as much as possible, two tubes coupled with good flow, ferts & gas will get you great results. 🙂
5 hours of light is a popular duration to start off with, you can build up on this when the plants become established & even give a blast of 4 T5s if you really feel the need!
