AR mini issues

Hi everyone,

I've had this AR mini growing in my nano tank for a while now.

It's a 30L tank with medium light, enough CO2 (no algae), ferts (lazy EI method but quite lean as I forget quite often) and 50% water changes (Tap water is kH 4, gH 6). My sub is spent Black Earth. pH is about 6.8 with CO2. My reactor collects CO2 so it ends up injecting 24 hours I think.

AR mini had been growing ok but not brilliant in the past. Now the leaves are turning transparent. Is this CO2 or iron or other?

I have Erio parkeri, Erio shiga, Pogo helferi growing ok in foreground of the tank.

Thanks for your opinions!

Is it waving in the flow? If not I'm going to go with CO2 deficiency from the competing hemianthus. try putting some stones around the AR to stop hemianthus from growing too close?

It's waving in the flow and pretty much gets first dibs from the outflow. That's what suprised me. I wonder whether the nutrient requirements have become more intense as it reaches the surface and the light naturally increases in intensity. I might put a root tab in the base and observe?

The HG/HM is due for trim anyways so I will hack it off.

Here is a video of it.

Lots of competition for resources in this tank. Very slight chance of allelopathy also perhaps.

I think a root tab will make a big difference.

Thanks. I will bring out the classic ADA multibottom (it's a hilarious name I think).
