Hi guys,

I'm going to be driving form London to Lille in France for a short trip and wanted to know if anyone could recommend any nice Aquascape shops around North France / West Belgium

I've seen quite a few vids of George Farmer doing some store vists but difficult to filter and work out by region.

I will be making a 60p soon and wanted to stock up on some hardcsape. ( Hopefully its not too weird bringing back sticks and stones back in the ferry)

Thanks

Hi,

I don’t live in that part of France but I’ve heard of one very big store in Belgium, 30min by car from Lille. It’s called ‘poisson d’or’.

Big selection of hardscape, here is an YouTube video of the shop tour;

So this place is absolutely insane. I cant believe how big it is. It has pretty much evey brand you can think of and every type of fish. From fresh to salt and expensive prime koi to a school of arowanas. In fact I sent a few pics to a friend who’s gotten into koi and he’s thinking of making a day trip from sw London.

little disappointed that the few things I was really looking was not in stock such as Tropica soil and better selection of wood.(They only had redmoor and bog type wood. )

I only wish something like this was around London but fish keeping must be a cultural thing. This place was not super packed, probably due to Covid but had a massive car park and the most people I’ve seen in this hobby. It’s probably not viable in UK, especially when they only open from 2 to 6
