On the side of Mavis's tank is a very gentle hang-on filter. Now I am fascinated by this aquaponics stuff, but very lacking in confidence! Anyway, I was wondering if it this could work as a trial attempt...
Take the media out of the filter, make a small aquaponics tray and put a couple of lettuces or herby plants in it, and use the outlet of the hang-on filter as the watering can for my plant tray.
I'd have to keep everything gentle because axolotls stress out when there's too much water disturbance, so have already decided that trying to adapt my canister filter would be a bad idea.
