If you are keeping hillstream loaches you could have about as much flow as you want as long as water doesn't spill over the edge of the tank.

A guy from YouTube is measuring the real flow rates of Aquael Ultra Max 1000 and Ultra Max 1500. I saw that the real flow rate of both of them is 900. This is very strange.It’s towards the high end for a 100l tank, based on the 10x flow rule of thumb for high tech. However, it does depend on whether you’ll have fish that are comfortable with high flow or not.
I also have Molly and swordtail livebearers in my tank.^- Again. What are you keeping 6-8 of? Goldfish? Sharks? Chili rasbora?
