I would like to hear your opinions, is aquael ultramax 1500 too much flow for a 50x50x40h tank?

Depends. What are you going to keep in the tank? What are you going to use as an outflow?

If you are keeping hillstream loaches you could have about as much flow as you want as long as water doesn't spill over the edge of the tank.

densely planted tank high light high CO2 fish 6 or 8 pieces I will not use a sprinkler bar as an outlet I am thinking of using the original single outlet apparatus. If it is too much, can I reduce it from the settings? Will this problem cause any problems in long-term use?

It’s towards the high end for a 100l tank, based on the 10x flow rule of thumb for high tech. However, it does depend on whether you’ll have fish that are comfortable with high flow or not.

A guy from YouTube is measuring the real flow rates of Aquael Ultra Max 1000 and Ultra Max 1500. I saw that the real flow rate of both of them is 900. This is very strange.Screenshot_2025-02-04-17-51-06-302_anddea.youtube.jpg

I currently have oase biomaster 2 250 thermo, normally the flow rate is 900 but the real flow rate is 750, I thought this would not be enough, I posted a topic about this on ukaps but they told me oase biomaster 350 or even 600 would be better

I was thinking of selling the filter and buying a higher flow filter for that reason.
