this is my next hobby for spring 2014....... bee keeping!
My dad used to keep an apiary 'when I were a lad'. I dont remember much so im in the process of reading and learning. Im now set on a poly langstroth hive with a carniolan nuc of bees, I think.....
Its not a cheap set up but it if my skills are up to it it could last eternally!
Im currently reading 'the buzz about bees' by jurgen tautz, a fantastic book. I would imagine the same sort of person who finds the science of aquariums interesting would love the idea of keeping bees too. Have we any beekeepers out there?
