Yeah bleach will do it. JBL do something called PowerClean, which I think is just bleach.

Just be sure to rinse it very well, and pop in some water with a double dose of Prime or other dechlorinator

Thanks folks. I’ve made a plastic plug to fit into the inlet so I won’t be reusing it for the time being as it never worked very well anyway.
I’ll try the bleach.
