One of the Anubias in my open topped tank is flowering. This one was sold as Anubias minima, which according to the Crusio 1979 revision is a synonym of A barteri var glabra.

Any tips on encouraging Anubias to make the leap to emersed growth when grown open topped - other than superhuman levels of patience!?

Hello,
Anubias are virtually never found in nature fully submerged. This makes them very difficult to grow fast or to exit the water unless they are actually mounted near the water line.

Cheers,
