One of my shrimps spent about 10 hours on the kitchen floor, only being discovered the next morning.
Remarkably she was alive and well, and had managed to avoid being eaten by the dog.

It would appear i was pruning one of my tanks in the adjacent room, and it must have been attached to the plants i carried out.
Its now two days since it happened, and the shrimp is alive and eating like a pig as normal.

the exact same thing happens with my nerite snails

That's Quality! Tough Buggers! Although having seen your amano shrimp suprised you didn't see it on the floor as they are the size of horses!

I had this too, they've done it twice to me  My thinking was a search for food? Maybe we have too clean tanks with not enough algae to munch on?
