Hi
Iv had some Alternethra Cardinalis planted in my tank for about 3 weeks now & the pink on the underside of the leaves is disappearing slowly & looking patchy.
Is this a light deficiency nutrient deficiency or is Poor co2 to blame or something else?

EI dosing
Co2 in line difuser DC green with good flow.
Ada Aqua soil
Lighting 4 xHO t5 6 hours + Grobeam 600 on for 4 hours in the middle of the schedule
Temp 27c
Tank 24" deep
Iv also put some sea hem root tabs in to see if this helps.
Cheers
Marc

I am not personally familiar with this particular variety of alternanthera but there are certain alternanthera varieties that do not grow submerged beyond a few weeks. Alternanthera sessilis is one, for example. These are more suited to paludariums or terrariums. Please research along this line. Otherwise your tank seems to have everything that a planted tank should have. Which dosing regime do you follow?
