Adding RCS back after a rescape - how long do you have to wait?

Hi all,
I've just rescaped a tank, and my RCS are swimming round in a couple of 35 litre storage boxes, along with all the plants that didn't fit into the rescape. I'm aware that fresh aquasoil leaches ammonia - I'm doing daily 30% wcs (that's what's logistically feasible) and have mature plants and filter in the tank. How long before I can add my RCS back in? At the moment with all the airstones and bubbling storage boxes my home office looks a bit like a mad scientist's laboratory.
Cheers,
Simon

I've rescaped 2 tanks recently. After removing all the cherry shrimp I could find and be bothered to move, I added new soil. In Both tanks the remaining cherries have survived everything and still breeding. The water has been brown muck barely an inch thick and they made it through.
