Hi all

Any one use this service? Initially looking at their 6kg option which would be quite a bit cheaper however won’t fit into my cabinet!

They have a 3 kg option, however it only works out marginally cheaper than new 2kg extinguishers, with the down side of two needed and therefore £110 deposit.

Thoughts much appreciated?

They are very good. They do a short 6kg and a tall one. Either way you would need a tall cabinet (EA AS 1200+) to fit one in. The 3kg will go in all but the smallest of cabinets.

A few thoughts -

- if local to you that is probably the most important consideration.
- bottles tested so possibly safer than a out of date FE
- gas is cleaner than a FE
- if you cannot get a FE bottle refilled, the FE is not very environmentally sustainable as you throw the bottle away after use (unless it’s out of date so gonna be chucked anyway!)
- you are putting your money into a local franchise rather than an eBay seller many many miles away.

At the end of the day it’s what ever is the easiest and most convenient method to obtain gas for you

That way you end up with a cylinder that fits in your cabinet and you only pay the initial £20 for a Fire Extinguisher.
