Hopefully my new 250L aquascape will arrive in the next 3 weeks. I had thought about a triangle layout, then used that on my 60L tank and I’m not sure the two tanks should be the same! They are in different rooms though.
So thinking of a valley now. It seems like flow around the tank would be worse with this though...

Something like this, but a bit more spread out and rocks around the base?

For me it usually depends on the angle or angles the tank can be viewed from. For instance, the position of the cabinet in my study means that I can also see the tank from the RHS so I usually design a classic triangular type scape.

I’m still trying to decide!
Now I have the tank I can see it better.
I’m considering this..

I am still trying to decide if I want a traditional nature aquarium look or maybe more of a woodland scene with a path. I feel like that might be more heavy maintenance though and my shifts are all over the place.

Definitely worth thinking about the maintenance side of things. It's great at the beginning when your tank is new and you're having fun, but at over time it will move more towards something you have to do rather than something you want to do. I think a really efficient maintenance routine makes a huge difference in keeping it fun.
