I first set up an 800mm wide 550mm high planted tank about 18 years ago with RO, CO2 etc.
From what I have seen so far, 800 wide isn't great as most lights are 600 or 900 wide and 550 depth will need a LOT of light for the best ourcome.
Although I still have the same tank with a few fish (torpedo barbs and an ancistrus), it's time for a re-vamp. So I'm looking initially for a quick revamp without ripping up substrate and seeing where that takes me.
