Home sweet home for me is the Southwestern US. That means lots and lots of red sand, lava rock, and sage brush. I have studied the Virgin river, a local river, and made an attempt at recreating an aquatic desert oasis. All the hardscape is local; desert sage for driftwood, red sand, and two lava rocks.

Let me know what you think or suggestions.

Nice scape, how is it stocked? In my opinion a big school of small fish would bring it to life, perhaps with a pair of rams or apistos.

Just set it up. I have a dozen ghost shrimp at the moment.
