Hi all
Time for a new journal! One month ago I dismantled "Lava Rocks" on my 25 liters tank and the same day I set up this layout. The idea is to have in a few weeks a mini jungle and a happy home for some cherry and Amano shrimps.
One month old...
As usual, the specs:
Tank: 36x27x26 cm. 25ish liters (real volume: 17 liters)
3 liters of HELP Advanced substrate
Some pieces of lava rocks and Mopani wood
Knock-Off AquaSky led light (Chihiros)
Ceramic diffuser attached to a 2 kg CO2 cylinder
Nano CalAqua lily pipes
JBL e401 filter (400 lph, completely packed with filtering media, around 3 liters)
Weekly 50% WC (7 liters): 50% RO + 50% (hard) tap water (gives something around 4dKH)
Plants:
Eleocharis mini
Micranthemum spec. ´Montecarlo´
Hygrophila pinnatifida
Bolbitis hedeulotii
Anubias bartieri
Fissidens fontanus
Cryptocoryne walkeri
Cryptocoryne (unknown species)
Cryptocoryne balansae
Vallisneria nana
For the moment, the plants are growing steadily and one of the cherry females has a big belly. I have dimmed the light (only 6,5 hours) so I can run the CO2 smoothly... a few drops of macro and micro ferts once or twice a week and 30-40% water changes, that's all I've been doing to this tank
