Hello
I'm looking for stocking ideas for my 11 year old's tank please.
We have a Aquatlantis LED 60 BIO, 60*30*35. It has a biobox 2 filter with various replaceable cartidges (foam, clay balls, some white stuff).
She loves gold / yellow fish especially.
She would really love some yellow mollies - suggestions for how many would be really helpful.
She also loves swordtails but I'm worried these are bit large.
Maybe some tetras - glow lights or neon (are glow lights easier?)
Something to help with algae - sucking fish that won't get too big or shrimp or catfish?
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance.

What's your water like? That's not a huge tank, so I'd be more inclined to look at male guppies/endlers over mollies. If you stick to males they won't multiply. You can get quite a range of colours, including yellows. Ember tetra would suit but are bright orange rather than yellow. You could look at kuboti rasboras. You could also consider one of the Pseudomugil - they are yellow/gold tones.

Amano shrimp are great for algae. Alternatively, if you stuck to smaller mouthed fish, you could consider yellow variety of cherry shirmp (Neocaridina) who also pick over the tank.

Welcome to the forum!

Check out male Endler guppies. Perfectly sized for that tank, very colourful with plenty of gold/yellow variants and incredibly active with interesting behaviour with one another. 8-10 in that tank will be plenty, will provide lots of visual interest for your daughter and will keep the biological load low.

Please don't get any fish to 'help with algae', particularly the 'sucking' fish (Oto's) you are referring to, they need specialist care. Go for some colourful Neocaridina (cherry) shrimp, they can largely look after themselves.

Don't forget to add plenty of live plants too, and add the plants at least 6-8 weeks before you add any fish.

I'd second Ember Tetras, but also; Chili Rasbora, Celstial pearl danios, cloud minnows, and pygmy cories. Wouldn't want to recommend anything much bigger tbh

Habrosus Cory are charming, very attractive, and active; perhaps an interesting alternative to pygmy Cory. Sparkling gourami are wonderful in terms of colours.

I second the white cloud minnows which also come in white. Easy and strong. Mollies and platies are often result of poor breeding and many generations of incest. They are prone to issues and many die off quite fast, I no longer recommend those these days unless you know its a good breeder. Kuhlis are a lot of fun for kids too, especially when young.

IME Glowlights are hardy and seem less inclined to have pecking order issues in smaller numbers. Same Black Neon tetra
