300ltr freshwater drop off advice

Hi all,

I wasn't sure of the direction of this tank but as its matured It's becoming something I never thought it would be.

I was going for a multi line set up with sand path and almost a grass cut through up the hill but as you will see it's changed to a 'drop off' (nemo reference) style with lots of great growth and textures involved. I'm still unsure on the sand path and feel it may need lifting more at the rear or removing to create a shelf between the larger right hand side and the smaller drop off on the left...

Beautiful scape! Those Pearl's look beautiful together too!

PS - Anyone else see Godzilla in the initial hardscape picture?! :eek:

Hi @Earlscapes, in addition to what is asked for above (scape material, substrate etc.), you should list some hardware details about your tank... Size, light, filtration, CO2 etc.

It is indeed a stunning tank :)

So an up date with some more details for everyone..







Hardscape:



Frodo stone, large bogwood, smaller redmoore roots.



Generic lava rock to build up back sections and support the stones and wood. Topped with tropica soil, then soil powder. Trooica root tabs



Sand is la plata ada with dennerle rio xingu with river gravel from ada some hugo kamishi natural fine gravel to add some details.







Tech

Aquasys 300 120 x 50 x 53 I think



1400 Ocellaris and 850 Ocellaris aquaone



2 x 120 StripGlo 6hrs



Aquario inlet/outlets



Co2 7bps co2 art inline difuser







Ferts



2hr apt zero 9ml daily



Api stress coat at water changes.







Waterchanges 50/60% weekly using tap

2 siamese algae eater



2 red lizard whiptails



40/50 amano



30/40 neocaridina mixed



10 mix cory Sterbai/panda/purple smug
