İs this Algae? Or not? What is this?

Hey All,


i took this photo from my tank on Monte Carlo plant this algae or something killing my plants what is this? what is problem?

Hard to tell from pics, but yes, it looks like algae growing on the older growth of the plant. The new growth looks algae free.

The problem will be something to do with light, flow, co2, fertilisation or water quality probably.

I'm definitely no expert, but without additional info about your set up its hard to suggest the most likely cause.
