Hey guys, welcome to the journal of my self build riparium!
After many many years of lurking on this awesome forum finally my own tankthread here :)
Just for all you to know i'm dutch so english is not my main language.
So it can be a little bit 'challenging' for me and you from time to time...
This will be my journal as I'm working my way to creating my own Riparium after finding many very inspirational tanks on this forum,
such as these: celestial swamp
hydrophyte hydrophyte 2
chocolate puddle
Tom's Bucket of Mud
(maybe I have to think of an awesome name for my tank as well)
I know...
So, I have been slowly accumulating the necessary kit for a 30cm cube with hang-on back planted filter for emersed growth.
It seems that there are very few fish that would be happy in such a small tank and I am down to a shortlist of a pair of Dwarf Puffers or Asian Stone Catfish (Hara Jedoni)...
Well one year into planted tanks, I felt that I had to build a riparium after seeing some spectacular examples over the years by people on both sides of the pond...
My first attempt has been very successful and has been a great learning experience, but it's diminutive size is lacking in the awe...
