Cheers :) We usually use Osram or Sylvania 865 THO tubes. Sometimes add a little reddish like Grolux or Giesemann proflora. Lighting is on for 7hrs every day. Showroom has shaders on all windows. This is quite important. Many has light room at home which cause algae problems even if the tank is...

We usually keep these tanks in the showroom for 8-12 months. Then a new installation needed to have something new to our visitors. So it is not because we could not keep it up and going, it is because we want something else. Usually above 120cm width. 2 filters also gives you a backup way if...

Used / using both. But surely soft is the way to go in many ways. Not because you need less CO2, but because many plants looks much better and the overall impression will be nicer.

Tom, are you shooting with all the tubes on 100%? As I see the unit is 30-40cm above the water? Still a lot of power if you use all the tubes with ATI. If yo do so, do you dose more ferts to this tank? In your post above seems like CO2 is up to the light. Wondering if you choosen the super...

GA in-store display 120P Iwagumi - Fly above the giant cliff

Thanks for your comment. Powder is usually 1 or 2 cm on the top of the soil. We use it successfully with small root plants like HC or Elatine. There this add a great value. Otherwise it is more of an aesthethic thing. In smaller tanks helps with the tank size soil grain ratio to look better.

Very nice shot Mark  The tank is a bit overgrown, but from this angle looks amazing. You made me think to work with a tank like this sometime in the near future. I love the dimensions.

Beauty colors Tom, i also kind of like the fact that you try so many different plants with it. Only from this tank itself you could write a study, how the plants form and shape under this condition. :D Great journal

Re: 120 x 55 x 55 Photo time again. Superb photos again Mark. Trully inspirational. Never seen such a detail before than on your last few shots. Did you used bowens to light these areas or only the tank light?
