Doing a little bypass would solve the pressure drop on your filter. You usually need 800-1000lph filter for reactors or a pump. I do not think atomizer is more efficient and that need to be cleaned regulary to keep up the micro diffusion.

Yup there the co2 issue as well as the bio filtration power plays much more in the good result. Even the decreased filter flow in this case would cause co2 issues when the filter clogs and we're lazy to clean it.

Isn't the inline diffuser cause problem if you diffuse the gas directly to the filter? I am not talking about the sealing of the filter as that may be a long term issue or not issue at all, but i am thinking about the injected gas cause oxygen issues in the filter and the bacterial activity...

HC is fine unless you inject the Carbo directly to the carpet. Then it will burn. But i also confirm that using carbo with CO2 on an HC carpet tank boost the growth a lot. Some other carpet plant like Eleocharis is more sensitive. But most of the carpet plant burn if you dose the carbo directly...

Used this before on a 240L tank. Worked well as the other side is half as slow. 1 bubble was equal to 2 approx. So it was easier to count the 4bps on my tank. Only downside is that, it has just a little area to hold the water. So quickly evaporate.

I would go with that original inline diffuser, the brown transparent housing. All others i have met fails in a big ratio. Their sealing the build quality is worst then the original one. You probably need to clean this more frequently than your co2 reactor.

TMC ones just like the japanese style (Rhinox) diffusers are mass produced with a weaker ceramic. If you're looking for a better ceramic then any premium diffusers could be an option (CAL, Do!Aqua, ADA). These ceramic produce smaller bubbles and are more effective then mass produced ones. If...

This could not. Heavier than water. We're using this in all of our counter no matter if that's a plastic stuff or a glass counter or we have reactor, or a premium ADA glass diffuser at the end. Highly recommend it. :angel:

I had one ealrier but as far as i know this is a fixed reg. You can't change the working pressure.

Do not fill the tank that much. 2 cm is fine and as a bonus you will have less shrimp escape and fish jumps ;) No prob with these stuff we are using a bunch of them.

I also not cleaned them. I guess i will never clean them. Easier to get a new one every 8-12 months or so :) But looking forward if anyone does that.

Cheers Bjorn, maybe i am wrong but the bubbles on the surface is mainly oxygen what the plants release. Usually happens when plants feels good and releasing lot of bubbles, and you have just a little movement on the surface.

not really. actually you will have too much bubbles in your tank. so the least you need to worry about is the CO2 waste.

As i see the bubble counter is a copycat of Dazs which is a copycat of ADA ;) The BC would work. The check valve i am not sure about. i only have bad experiences. This is the same cv as Dennerle sells to their crystal set. This fully leaks the water. I would never buy this.
