    Up Inline diffuser

Cheers Ross, It is not that important where you place your diffuser if that is a good one. The diffusers are in a different league than cheap ones. I usually say that the pricing equal with a good external reactor and it is almost the same efficiency.

    Up Inline diffuser

Yup this is interesting. Their ceramics are very good. With fine bubbles you have less waste. Also they fill up the tanks many times to the edge of the glass, where lilys are not moving the surface that much. Superjets have less turnover than we use with our avg canisters. So it all adds up to a...

    Up Inline diffuser

Ada never used low co2 on their tanks. Those who say that, never seen their tanks in flesh. Actually when i was there i recognized how much more they are using than we do. The answer was that, they push it til the fish gasp. Dc not needed continously only on initial stage. For an expert may nod...

    Aquamedic AM1000

We do use mesh in some of our AM1000. Runs super silent. But then depend on the mesh strength after a few months the flow can push the mesh into the outflow and the reactor will stuck. Some harder mesh resist a but longer like dryvit mesh etc, but the water will shape them after many months of...

    Co2 Reactor..

Doing a little bypass would solve the pressure drop on your filter. You usually need 800-1000lph filter for reactors or a pump. I do not think atomizer is more efficient and that need to be cleaned regulary to keep up the micro diffusion.

    Inline Diffuser

Yup there the co2 issue as well as the bio filtration power plays much more in the good result. Even the decreased filter flow in this case would cause co2 issues when the filter clogs and we're lazy to clean it.

    Inline Diffuser

Isn't the inline diffuser cause problem if you diffuse the gas directly to the filter? I am not talking about the sealing of the filter as that may be a long term issue or not issue at all, but i am thinking about the injected gas cause oxygen issues in the filter and the bacterial activity...

    One for Clive.

HC is fine unless you inject the Carbo directly to the carpet. Then it will burn. But i also confirm that using carbo with CO2 on an HC carpet tank boost the growth a lot. Some other carpet plant like Eleocharis is more sensitive. But most of the carpet plant burn if you dose the carbo directly...

Anyone tried Cal Aqua Labs Double Counter

Used this before on a 240L tank. Worked well as the other side is half as slow. 1 bubble was equal to 2 approx. So it was easier to count the 4bps on my tank. Only downside is that, it has just a little area to hold the water. So quickly evaporate.

    Co2 Atomizer Vs. Reactor

Sure there's the advantage to use in-line diffuser or external reactor. The major one is you will have more than enough CO2 everywhere in your tank and at the same time you use much less CO2. With some plants this is pretty good and helpful as you do not need to think about CO2 levels even on...

    Co2 Atomizer Vs. Reactor

Well we sold both, we also used them. We had Aquagro with many other CO2 reactors. So I only can tell that I've experienced with this. The twin ones a has some kind of manufacturing problems. Only one of the tubes work. The larger one diffuser is taller then it should be! Which cause problems...

    Co2 Atomizer Vs. Reactor

I would go with that original inline diffuser, the brown transparent housing. All others i have met fails in a big ratio. Their sealing the build quality is worst then the original one. You probably need to clean this more frequently than your co2 reactor.

Can anyone recommend a glass diffuser?

TMC ones just like the japanese style (Rhinox) diffusers are mass produced with a weaker ceramic. If you're looking for a better ceramic then any premium diffusers could be an option (CAL, Do!Aqua, ADA). These ceramic produce smaller bubbles and are more effective then mass produced ones. If...

    Which Bubble Counter

This could not. Heavier than water. We're using this in all of our counter no matter if that's a plastic stuff or a glass counter or we have reactor, or a premium ADA glass diffuser at the end. Highly recommend it.
  15. viktorlantos

    Which Bubble Counter

If you can get glycerol and you fill the counter with that with that, you will not have this problem anymore. Or at least less frequent. But still a good check valve is needed as sometimes these valves leaks. Watch out with glycerol you will see a bit slower movement with the bubbles. That's...

Altering the Working Pressure on AM Regulators

You know what? That's the best CO2 injection anyway. I would not change it for anything. High pressure CO2 diffusers are just imitation of these large reactors. Causing fog and someetime problems with the extra pressure as most of your CO2 equipments are designed to work with 2 bar max...

    [Product] New style dropcheker

I had a test with it last week on one of our larger tank 90P and 120P. Lovely piece probably looks the best on the side of the tank externaly. However the pipe is not too large. The whole DC not too large too. So if your open top tank water level is down, the DC will not work this way. This...

AM100 vs UP Atomiser vs Other inline Co2 solutions

Mosquito mesh will do the job. Just fill 1/2 of the tube with it at least. We also dropped the bio balls the first time to keep the flow higher. There's another prof reactor out there. Called Aquamas: http://www.aquamas.de/product_info.php/ ... 0l55pv5481 They are using foam in...

AM100 vs UP Atomiser vs Other inline Co2 solutions

Keep your AM1000, that's much better than any inline stuff out there. Just put a mesh in it. This way the bubbles will be so small that you will not see any of them. I never seen a tank with an inline diffuser where the bubbles were invisible. I used the Up one on a couple of our tanks in the...

    [Product] New style dropcheker

Do not fill the tank that much. 2 cm is fine and as a bonus you will have less shrimp escape and fish jumps ;) No prob with these stuff we are using a bunch of them.

    Experiences cleaning inline diffusers?

I also not cleaned them. I guess i will never clean them. Easier to get a new one every 8-12 months or so :) But looking forward if anyone does that.

    surface agitation

cheers ceg, a little back to my ealrier comment (without beeing too off) there are no visible CO2 bubbles in my tank. But a few hours before lights goes off i see this on the surface. Pure O2 from the plants which could not escape because of the minor surface agitation. as i've seen ealrier...
  26. viktorlantos

    surface agitation

Cheers Bjorn, maybe i am wrong but the bubbles on the surface is mainly oxygen what the plants release. Usually happens when plants feels good and releasing lot of bubbles, and you have just a little movement on the surface.

    CO2 Reactor - Advice/help etc

Re: Aquamedic AM1000 Reactor - Advice? bypass only needed if you use large filters like 2080 eheim with 1650lph or so. for regular ones a simple reactor would work without balls. Aquamas is good but more expensive than AM.

    CO2 Reactor - Advice/help etc

Re: Aquamedic AM1000 Reactor - Advice? The balls slowing down the flow a lot. Also AM1000 in default can handle 950lph because of the tubes. So for example if you put this to a large eheim 2080 you have the power to push through the balls, but you will loose lot of lph because of the tube...

Inline diffuser VS In tank diffuser

used both, currently running with up atomizer. i must say that i do not see any difference in plant growth or health compare to the in tank diffuser with good flow. this is kind of an illusion i guess. we all wants to see bubbles everywhere and we think when bubbles are there things are great...

In-line CO2 atomizers And Lily Pipes

    Inline diffusers??

i am also giving up on Up :D used this on my large tank for a month or so, but makes the whole impression bad with all the floating bubbles and the extreme lot bubbles on plants. mosses looks really bad sometime i can't see the green color of it. looks like a bubbletree :D CO2 level is on...

Cheers guys, i thought i share this vid with you. I cleaned up my diffuser this weekend and for some reason probably because of the lily pipes turbulance was intresting to see how the bubbles fly. The movement was really nice and the mist looked good, i thought i had to capture it. FYI the...

what determines the capacity of a diffuser?

larger ceramic also helps to extend the maintenance period. if you have a smaller one you would use the full capacity (or more) or the ceramic, so any algae on the plate would decrease the efficiency quickly. at the end you need to clean very frequently like weekly or often and still not get the...

    Glass Check Valve/Bubble Counter

i use the ADA check valve. This is the cheapest ADA product i guess ;) You can get it from TGM probably. This is how it looks: http://www.greenaqua.hu/ada-co2-visszaf ... zelep.html i have this on all of my tank works great. code is: 101-504

    Glass Check Valve/Bubble Counter

As i see the bubble counter is a copycat of Dazs which is a copycat of ADA ;) The BC would work. The check valve i am not sure about. i only have bad experiences. This is the same cv as Dennerle sells to their crystal set. This fully leaks the water. I would never buy this.

    rhinox 2000 for 260l tank

i also use the Rhinox 2000 on my 120cm (240L) tank. Works like a charm. Just need a flow to spread this. I also used this earlier with Korallia. However i wonder about the 4-5 bps. I have 2-3 on my tank and this is just 20 litres smaller than yours. Maybe the bubble counters makes this but as...
