It's great what you did with the stones. On the top view i thought the stone group are in the back since the tank is small, but bringing them to the front part gave a perfect deepness to the layout. Love what you did with it. And the stones looks superb. :thumbup::clap:

The Murdannia Keisak looks fab with Ludwigia Palustris. I never had this combo, but look like their leaf size and shape works well together. Murdannia is heavily neglected by the hobby unfortunately. Wonderful plant with a unique look. I love it! Great shot Stu! :thumbup:

You you're right on the moss. This is probably because the water temp is slightly higher than 25 celsius in some tanks and mosses not perform well in tanks where the decoration raise the hardness level and you change with soft water (fluctuations in water hardness). I've seen evidence of this...

Found this shot. This is how it looked when i set it up. The front sandy area is filled with aquasoil a bit as the amano shrimps worked all day to hack my work. But seeing the tank 8 months afer, i still have a big slope which is good. Thanks to the stones which help me in that. :)

We're using the Super Jet Filters with full RO the RO water is 5.6 on pH. Never had any issue with soft water on any filter. So i am wondering what happened with your filter

Taken a bit more like 4 month or so, because of the changing water hardness. This put a bit of stress to the plants.

Possible too just as with too much easy carbo daily etc. That's why i wrote there are too many possible reason behind the scum.

Yup scum is for different reasons. Also many types there (oil, biofilm, foam etc). You may not have algae issue, but your filter is dirty, you put stress on your plant for some reason, using bad fish food etc. Million other reason is possible too. But very frequent to see the scum where you...

You have scum on this tank because you have algae. Once algae will go off scum will disappear. A healthy tank surface is clean. Since you mention you have algae already i would focus on to remove them and your problem will be solved with the surface too.

Temp isn't high in the tank. Using air condition to keep the temp around 25 in the tank. So this is not the cause of the fault with the plants.
