Some of my breeder friend use the Salty Shrimp Sulawesi powders to set the right parameter for their shrimps with good success. Worth a try. Seems like Dennerlii is the easiest one. Most of the others are just too hard to keep. So i would start with them first.

Eheim aquacorner is a good one i do recommend it.

CO2 is a good addition to CRS so i would not add that to the picture. Breed quicker without that? Look at the largest Indonesian CRS breeder they breed 10000 shrimp per week in CO2 mixed 5000L tanks. So its a wrong way. Carbo yes its work with that but i would not add too.

As far as i know you need a 17mm filterguard for both models because of the tetratec spec piping. Otherwise ex 700 is a 13 mm model, but i had to replace a guard because the small one not fitted to the pipe from GUSH

There's some great mineral products to fix the right KH/GH ratio for shrimps. We're using them with RO.

If you're planning a CRS tank, i would buy a TDS meter. I would not hassle with KH, GH, but would watch out to keep the TDS above 100. Otherwise will have molting problems and you will loose many shrimps. TDS is ideal between 100-200. We usually keep it between 100-150. Other than that an...

Could be a water parameter also. I've seen similar thing with our Black Tigers. Kept them in soft water with 6.8 pH and aeration. Once i moved them to another tank with CO2 in it they got back their colors and that not changing anymore.

Using red nose in this nano i do not see problem with the plants. they live with some amanos there. you also can use tiger shrimp too, as they are decorative ones and not too hard to keep. we do have them too in another nano.
