Re: 14x8x8 15L nano Have you kept shrimp before? CRS can be finicky and sensitive and come with a higher price tag. RCS are a lot cheaper and more sturdy. This comes into play even more when you consider your small 15l capacity.

You may find you need to replace the ribbed hosing that comes with the Fluval filter. Some people have reported leaks when trying to fit an inline with them.

The lamp really is overkill but if you have it and want to use it hang it high and enjoy your electricity bill. I wouldn't close the intake side at all, just the outflow. As long as it's not closed up too much you should be fine.

What is all the "stuff" on the back and side walls?
