Thanks George! its old work im afraid and came as a complete surprise as it was automatically entered as a AGA 2008 entry. For those who havent seen it - Lusty Glaze ranked 174th ADA IAPLC 2009 :D

Just got home from hols to find my letter on the door step, 174th ! Im well pleased with that ! might motivate me to do another scape! Well done all.

Best advice is to buy more than you will need (if poss) its useful to have different shapes and sizes to hand so you can play with different combinations. What you dont use in this scape you will use in another. This is where buying your rocks from your LFS rather than online can save you money...

The organisers do stress its not a photography contest! (just as well for me!)

Hmmmm, IMO steve the tanks a bit small for another peice of wood. The wood you have is called sumatra wood, If you do decide to add another peice make sure its of the same type. A small drawback of sumatra wood is the cut ends, You could try to hide them with moss.

After postying this question I went ahead and tied some flame moss to some aluminium mesh purchased from Halfords (used for car body repairs) ive seen no adverse effects. Only trouble is its so light so you will have to anchor it down. The aluminium mesh is very pliable and a sheet of it could...

Nice tank hixy! IMO the pile of stones in the front is a bit distracting. Maybe you shouldt think about a nice foreground carpet. A riccia foreground would look nice.
