    That's a fun little challenge! My choice for wood positioning would be the second photo but a little to the right. That would make for a nice island style scape, with some nice height. Good luck with it. If I take any plants out of my tank I'll you know and if you want them they're yours. Rob

    Great thread. I've been looking at a lot of Iwagumi pictures recently as my tank is going to be inspired by the style. That cave threw me for a minute too. Until I spotted the man and the ladder! RR

    Thanks for the opinions. I might end up going for frosted but tracing paper is a fantastic idea to try it out. I'm sure mrs pariah rob will have some fabric around I can try for other colours too. I'm getting ahead of myself though. Mut finish building the cabinet first! RR

    Thanks guys. Maybe I'll wait and try some temporary card options for a while each and see which is best. Both for my general tastes, as well as photography. I will be adding some fish at some point once the tank has cycled and matured a bit. Does a brighter/darker background have much effect...
