Should you start dosing CO2 from day one?

OK thanks so far, clear guidance and the 'Cycling' thread was a help too. Was planning to cut the lighting a little, is it best to do 'intensity' or 'amount of time on'?

    Whistling from a new JBL

OK, back to original account now. Returned regulator to Aquatic Design Centre and they have sorted it for me. :-) Whilst waiting I saw some amazing tree roots and they've inspired me to start again with a new layout. Here we go again! Thanks for the help guys, will post progress pictures.

    Is pearling and good thing?

Thanks a lot Ady. I'll keep an eye out for the elusive pearling. Sounds like more chance has come from the substantial water change and maybe the Easycarbo addition but we'll see. thanks

    Is pearling and good thing?

OK. Cheers Ady I read somewhere that pearling is helped by a major water change, if I remeber rightly, by cleansing the plants is that true?

    Is pearling and good thing?

Pearling is a rare sight in my tank but have increased the CO2 bubble rate a fraction but also added a little EasyCarbo after a major water change. Several plants are pearling and although it's an exciting sight does it mean my levels are right or a little high?
