Interesting stuff I had no idea there were so many :-) How many have you collected I had some bacopa in a small holding tank and I threw in a filter sponge to just keep it alive a bit, the bacopa rooted through the sponge :-) Now I'm playing around with sponge and the green plastic scouring...

Was in an importers the day and there's one tank that has an internal filter thats blasts air into the tank, no ferts have ever been added and the java fern literally fills the whole tank

Kap K the key to a good shed is polystyrene sheets 2" thick (minimum) keep constant temperature all year round :-)

hi ive finaly managed to clean out the tank completely apart from one very large piece of wood and the fish, im looking for ideas to get some plants in here but without putting in any substrate. so thinking moss etc on rocks or wood, lighting is low with just the standard t8's supplied with it...

Hi all im slowly building up my plant stock before i attempt my first plant scape in 10 years im going to have a soil substrate so i was wondering if it would be a good idea to pot up my existing stock into pots containg soil, would this feed them sort term until i have enough plants to start...

hi all this is a weird question but one i just have to ask ;-] Can you use non aquatic ferts ie plant/flower/veg/tomatoe stuff from off the shelf of a normal retail outlet?

cant find any miracle grow organic compost locally but B&Q have miracle grow pot/veg organic, is this the same thing? I can also get J Arthur Bowers aquatic compost is that going to be any good?
