there was a round thick washer type thing that also got blew out and that was mashed up a bit??
it wasnt threaded and by the explosion i would say it was very very full lol
well a little information for you all, co2 IS dangerous!!
i just unscrewed the regulator a little and it did indeed hiss then all of a sudden BOOOOOMMMM!!!!! AND THE BLOODY THING EXPLODED!!! luckily i did it under water with a towel wrapped around and it still managed to empty the sink and shoot...
hi mate, im just funny with pressurized bottles and things never been to confident.
as you know its the colombo nano set and it has a knob on the top that lets you adjust the co2 and turn it off.
the thing is i dont think it had pierced the bottle properly so it is only leaking a very small...
hi
as some of you may know already, i have a faulty co2 bottle with my regulator on which is showing 0 on the gauge but is a new bottle.
what i wanted to know is, how dangerous is it to remove the regulator from a faulty bottle which might/might not be full?
what is the worst that can happen and...
i know what you mean, i have been trying to find a nice piece of rock for ages but they only say come into the shop and pick rather than showing a few pics of the nice pieces.
i live a distance from some lfs and i have no transport so i always have to buy online which costs me a arm and a leg in...
hi i know its been a while but i purchased the Colombo nano kit and on my second bottle change the whole thing screwed up!
its like a ticking time bomb at the min lol. basically i have a full bottle which shows no pressure on the gauge and there is a very very small leek of co2 coming out so it...
 you got me worried for a min there, i was running all around the house opening up the windows lol.
is it safe to unscrew the regulator thing a little until i hear it hiss then re tighten once again just to see if it helps with anything?
oh and any ideas on what i can do for the time been...
yes thats the one, i can turn a knob on the top which lets co2 out or stops it the thing is if i turn it off the pressure rises so i thought leaving it open a little will relieve some pressure.
any idea why its done this?
hi
how do i close it down? wouldn't it be best if i left it open slightly to not put too much pressure on it?
this is the second bottle i have ever put on and i think it might be my last.
should i up my easy carbo now then if my co2 is down for a while?
my only inverts are 10 cherry shrimp.
:(
hi chris, i cant hear anything hissing, could it be that i have cross threaded the thread? im just a little worried about going to bed with it like this
paul, in the last 10 mins it went up to 500psi so i just opened up the co2 and it dropped back down to 0.
any ideas why its taking so long to fill up with pressure?
do you think the pierced hole in the disposable bottle isnt pierced enough?
cheers bud
hi mate im so glad someone was on here now lol, i cant get a pic at the min but its a colombo nano c02 kit.
its a 95g bottle(small ones)
the thing is i dont want to undo it if its full but cant leave it like this if i cant get the co2 out.

hi guys i need some help asap, i have just screwed on my new co2 bottle nice and tight but the pressure on the gauge shows 0 and fills up the gauge very very very slowly.
i turn the co2 on and a few bubbles come out, the pressure drops back down to 0 and thats it until i turn it off and it...
im a little worried using anything in a pressurized bottle that's why i like the simple disposable bottle things lol.
my tank is only a small 10 litre thing, im growing lilaeopsis, hair grass and hc.
would it be suitable?

http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.p ... ts_id=3882

I'm still having problems with it, i don't know where i am supposed to fill the diffuser up too.
up to half way or past half way.
it seams every time i fill it up past the half way line it never fills all the way back up with water by the next morning as if there isn't enough pressure to push...
well at the moment i fill it up a hour before the lights come on then i also do 1ml of easy carbo then in the afternoon around 1-2ish i press the filler only half.
so i do 1 1/2 refills and 1ml easy carbo daily.
:?
morning garuf!
its this one mate;
what co2 system do you recommend? i don't want a diy yeast set up i prefer a simple no messing type on a budget lol 8)
cheers!!!
i would have thought someone would have tried it.
I'm having a problem with mine, i don't know if I'm supposed to fill the diffuser completely with co2 and not let the water fill it back up past half way OR to only fill half way with co2 and not go past the half way line with co2.
all it says in...
