Breeding Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus)

i've heard that the shrimp are most likely to eat the eggs. The fish apparently breed best if moved to a dedicated spawning tank. Matt

30 litre/6 gallon could I get a pair of dwarf cichlids?

+1 for dwarf puffers - love 'em! Or there are lovely microrasbora/boraras species out there (i'm a big fan of Chilli Rasboras) and you could fit a great small shoal (prob about 10 depending on how heavy the planting is) in your tank. Or you could go shrimpy - cheap, breed easily and add loads of...

Corydoras (cory) sterbai catfish clamped/rotting mouth/tail?

Re: Corydoras (cory) sterbai catfish clamped/rotting mouth/t Clamped fins and rotting tail sounds unhappy to me! By seperating him off into another tank (filled with same water and filter with mature media obviously) you can eliminate fighting as the cause, as well as ensuring he has no...

    Which Fish?

I go for microrasboras - they're so small you can fit a big shoal in your tank! (within reason, obviously!) Cheers MAtt

Looking for a shoal of small fish for my 120L tank

I'm having a bit of love affair with my mosquito rasboras at the minute, and they're so tiny you can fit loads in a tank. They shoal nicely too! M

which fish for a shrimp tank?

Less than 45 mins from Beverley! Also a great shop called Paws for Thought on the A64 in Leeds that has an ENORMOUS livestock section - biggest i've ever seen! Maybe a trip over and do a few in one day? Matt

which fish for a shrimp tank?

If you can get over to West Yorks - Nautilus Aqutics stocks "mosquito rasbora" - not sure exactly which species as they are often mislabelled, and Ferrybridge Aquatics stock loads of different species, including loads of nano-friendly fish, though i haven''t seen any Boraras sp. in there...

    Blue rams with shrimp?

I had problems with some stunning rams in a heavily planted 200l eating juvenile shrimp - effectively completely stopped them breeding. It's a pity 'cos they look lovely but i wouldn't risk it if you want them to breed. Full size Neocaridian sp. didn't seem to be predated Hope this helps! Matt

which fish for a shrimp tank?

Look for Chilli Rasbora or Mosquito Rasbora (common names for boraras species). I'm planning to stock my acrylic cube with 5 or so of these and some RCS. pest control - if you update your details to show roughly where you are (even if it's just the county) people may be able to recommend shops...

    Dinner?

Yeah - Fighter's mouth isn't that big! Be sure to provide your fish with plenty of hiding places in case the Fighter gets a bit boisterous Cheers! Matt
