Good review and info. One thing I noted with mine (similar set up) is that the bubbles seemed to be smaller going through the same bubble counter as was fitted to the standard needle valve and thus I had to increase the rate. All the same, it appeared to be more crisp and precise. Cheers!

Again only talking from my own experience but the working pressure does not need to be that high, I run mine at 10 psi. The higher WP rates are only really needed for diffusers.

Yes, just insert a check valve (the right way round) where the line is already cut (or nearer to the bubble counter if you want), put the above mentioned diffuser on the end of the line and drop it in, a couple of sucker/clips will keep it neat. Hope this helps!

Hi, You might find that you require the exact correct water flow rate for whatever amount of CO2 that you are injecting. Most reactors have a sweet spot therefore setting up a simple bypass to control the flow rate through it might be a wise decision before butchering it, it's not cheap. Cheers!

As I said above, you are still going to utilise a filter which can be set up to scavenge from the bottom. You don't really want any form of detritus (or sand) entering your CO2 loop. Or am I missing something? BTW I enjoy being part of your musings ;):)
