THanks for the tips guys, I got a shoal of 16 in today :) There awesome little fellas, I believe they are the Sphaerichthys Selatanensis variety, commonly known as Crossbands, or Cherry Chocolate Gourami. Pics once they've settled Tony

    F1 altum angels

Theres been lots of debate about these F1's - from what I gather they are not wilds, being tank bred from wild true album parents. They are a lot sturdier that true wilds, but its been said that they don't develop the same fin height and colouring of the wilds. Either way they are very nice...

    Whats the ultimate shoaling fish?

Rummy Nose Tetras. A bit of a classic when it comes to the "best shoalers' question, but there's a darn good reason for that  :D

    lph flow for discuss fish

I have a similar setup to yours and Steves (300l / 2 x eheim 2026 / koralia 2) and the discus seem quite happy and lay eggs too. I would say it's probably good to have some decent size hardscape in there, so they can get out of the main flow of the koralia if they desire. :) Tony

    Silver Hatchets

Hi Andy I has 6 Marbled Hatchets, and yes they did leap out of the tank! I had a Hood on the tank, but over the past year I have found 3 of them on top of the tank braces, and one of them on the floor (never did work out how !) My last 2 are fine, but I do think they'll jump one day. My new...

    Botia striata

I have similar experience to TDI-Line - 6 striata, with 14 cory sterbia, and they all swim together really well. The Striata will hide if someone moves in front of the tank, but they come out again after 20 seconds or so. I have a redmoor root suspended in the tank, and they love getting in...
