    It might be because you only have one? I think Yoyos might be a social fish, and so are happier in groups. That might be why it isn't eating the snails. If not, and you still have no luck then I'd go with the Asassin option. You might as well if the first option isn't working.

    Trumpets don't have to be posted in water, no. They can last a couple of days, like Ramshorns in damp cotton wool/paper.

    Yup, damp cotton wool or tissue or something like that in a little container or bag or something, snails aren't fussy at all really.

    Maybe get a really small fish like an ember tetra or dwarf rasbora just for the time being to see if they sort it out? I'm sure they're shrimp safe.

    Snail ID please

    the one in the middle photo looks like a pretty cool snail! i think pond snails eat aquatic plants although i could be wrong... but i do know they breed like crazy if you give them the chance to.
