Re: A different approach - Lower Lighting I haven't read this whole thread, but I have to say that more and more I think lighting is the issue for many. Its not that high light is an issue per se but matching the lighting with high CO2 is often unachieavable due to livestock. No livestock...

Thats a beaut of a tank ans scape :) my only comment would be the large-ish round rock second from the left just resting behind that piece of wood. Have you tried a smaller one there or even a plant? It sticks out a bit for me, but I'm really just being picky! Its a fad scape :thumbup: Sam

Shames that its gone, but hopefully to a good home. Also a shame about the shrimp, would have bought some off you for sure!!! Sam

Its not bad to be honest Steve, vast quantities of sponge which is a bit odd given that its pitched as a snail/shrimp tank. Could have made the media chamber smaller and tank slightly bigger. Pump it's all that quite for 320lph, but the flow is excellent. All in all, I probably wouldn't pay...

When the time comes, don't be tardy giving the HC a prune. I found that leaving just two weeks longer than I should have meant the bottom started to die off, by which time it was too late and I had to replant the lot. A little trim, often is the way to go with HC for longer term scape's. Sam

Lovely healthy plants :) needs a bit more order for me scape wise, but if you can grow plants that well the scape should be easy to play with. You can't scape if the plants dont grow! Sam
